Sync Summit Finland 2014

Sync Summit Finland on järjestetty menestyksekkäästi jo kolme kertaa Tampereella osana Musiikki & Median kansainvälistä ohjelmaa. Tänä vuonna Sync Summit järjestetään Espoon Hanasaaressa, Pohjoismaisten elokuvamusiikkipäivien (The Nordic Film Music Days) yhteydessä 28.-30. elokuuta.

Sync Summit Finland 2014 tuo Suomeen 10-12 kansainvälistä maailman vaikutusvaltaisimpiin kuuluvaa  TV-, elokuva-, peli- ja mainosalan musiikkipäällikköä, jotka saavat nähdä kauniin loppukesän Helsingin tutustuessaan suomalaiseen musiikkiin ja musiikkialaan. Tapahtuman paneeli-, valmennus- ja verkostoitumissessioissa pureudutaan sektorin toimintamalleihin ja liiketoimintamahdollisuuksiin. Ohjelmaan osallistuvat delegaatit pääsevät myös tapaamaan musiikkipäälliköt kasvokkain koordinoiduissa pitch-sessioissa ja vapaamuotoisessa verkostoitumistapahtumassa.

With his 27 years of experience as music professional, Nis has worked in all aspects of the business: As a several times gold and platinum awarded songwriter and recording artist, producer, A&R director (EMI records), Executive producer (National television and radio),

Now holding the position as Creative director and Music Supervisor at Music sales – Nordic countries.

As in-house supervisor and rights expert for four of the most important Nordic film companies, music supervisor for advert agencies, Nis works objectively with global music catalogues.

As Music supervisor for Film and TV he is involved as a natural part of the team of Screenwriters, Directors and Producers from the first draft of the manuscript to the final film

Within the last two years (2011-13) Nis has synchronized music to more than 100 commercials, TV series and feature films. 

Nis is a frequent conference speaker and loves to meet fellow music lovers.

In 2014 he’s been sharing knowledge at A&R Worldwide/Musexpo in L.A., Midem In Cannes, Syncsummit in Paris and Spot Festival in Denmark.

Tony Von Pervieux (USA)

Tony began his career in music management working as an assistant for Aaron Walton Entertainment; an entertainment company specializing in management for a variety of talented artists.

He then transitioned over to independent music supervision by working as an assistant to Dawn Soler. Dawn has been supervising Film and TV for over twenty years, working on such movies as Dumb and Dumber, Princess Diaries I & II, Catwoman, Dead Man Walking, Hollywood Homicide, Enchanted and more. Tony co-supervised some films with Dawn and a few on his own before making the jump to TV as a music supervisor for the hit series Ugly Betty.

 He independently supervised Ugly Betty for the first season and simultaneously was hired by ABC Studios to work as Creative Director for the TV music department.

ABC Studios has produced many successful on-air shows for multiple broadcast and cable networks. Some of the series shows include Army Wives, Castle, Cougar Town, Criminal Minds, Grey’s Anatomy, Lost, Happy Endings, Nashville, Once Upon A Time, Private Practice, Revenge, and Scandal.

Over the course of six years at ABC Studios, he oversaw all aspects of music for their  shows and assisted with providing music for the ABC Marketing & Promo department with their TV campaigns.

Currently, Tony is supervising several shows under creator Bill Lawrence; Cougar Town, Surviving Jack, UnDateable & Ground Floor. He also manages an artist named Rivvrs whom will be releasing his first EP in the middle of August.

Another project that Tony is currently working on is AppStage, a mobile app that enhances the live show experience by providing more band to fan interaction before, during and after the show. It also serves as a hub for each specific event.

He is also co-founder of The Happiest Hour, a TV/FILM/MUSIC industry mixer that has been around for nine years and running.

Marcy Bulkeley (USA)

Marcy Bulkeley is the Music Director at Wild Card AV (www.wildcardav.com). Previously at Big Picture Entertainment and BLT. She is responsible for the music in the advertising campaigns for films such as Exodus, Unbroken, Dawn of the Apes, Maleficent, Noah, Looper, and Inception, as well as many others. This year the Guild of Music Supervisors nominated Marcy in the category of Best Music Supervisor in Trailers for Noah; in 2013 for Looper, and in 2011 BLT & Associates was awarded a Key Art Award for Best Original Music in Trailers for the Inception campaign. Marcy has been in the music supervision world for over 15 years, consistently building and nurturing relationships with record labels, publishers, composers, agents, and music production companies worldwide. Marcy graduated from Emerson College with a degree in Audio / Radio Production and directed her studies towards film and television music. 

Andrew Phillips (UK)

Andrew is an international Media Manager currently based in the UK, he has worked on over 200 radio stations, 6 TV channels, programmed 100s of Apps and over 20 websites with major content management and creative responsibilities. He has produced over 100 top personalities, 400 music acts and programmed, produced and presented over 1000 live broadcasts across all media formats, in music, comedy, speech, sport and factual documentaries around the world.

Andrew has worked with some of the world’s top performing companies and some of the most talented artists in entertainment. The chances are you’ve come across some content he has been involved in producing.

Christian Mix-Linzer (GER)

Tracks & Fieds

Christian Mix-Linzer has started his first record label at the age of 16 and has worked in the entertainment industry ever since. Today he is the CEO and founder Berlin based music licensing and music supervision agency Tracks & Fields.  

Tracks & Fields is a company that consults agencies, producers and brands on the use of music for audiovisual productions and services range from music strategy, creative music searches, rights clearance/ license fee negotiations and supervision of re-recordings, edits and bespoke compositions. The company's clients include Porsche, Ebay, Audi, Hyundai, Google, Orange, McDonalds or Samsung and it has collaborated with hundreds of amazing artists ranging from new and upcoming bands to household names such as Moby, Donovan or Avicii. 

Tracks & Fields also self-developed a digital music service supporting the entire creative and administrative music search and licensing process that it uses for most of its projects. Christian holds an MBA from IE Business School aswell as a BA in media studies. He is a regular speaker on creative music licensing and music supervision, including at events such as SXSW, Canadian Music Week, Berlin Music Week, Popkomm, Future Music Forum, Musiikki & Media, Golden Drum, C'N'B and many others. 

Benoit Dunaigre (FRA)

Benoit Dunaigre is an awarded advertising music supervisor and producer whose credits include worldwide TV campaigns for major leading brands. He is also an accomplished musician, sound engineer and entrepreneur .

Raised in Paris, France Benoit Dunaigre developed an early fascination for music. After participating in a number of local rock and Jazz bands he moved to the US to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.

In 2002 B.Dunaigre graduated with Honors from Berklee with a double major in Contemporary Writing and Production and Music Production and Engineering and came back to France to launch is career as independent music composer/arranger , sound engineer and record producer. Between 2002 and 2008 Benoit Dunaigre has actively worked for major record companies and leading advertising agencies scoring a number of worldwide campaigns and producing/engineering for popular french artists.

In 2008 Benoit joined Else ( TBWA France's sound department ) as senior producer and Music supervisor and has since produced and supervised more than 500 TV/web/Cinema worldwide adverts for clients such as Nissan, Mc Donald, YSL, BMW, Hermes, Dior, Amnesty International working with artists such as The Horrors , Franz Ferdinand , C2C, Ludovico Einaudi and many more winning a number of awards ( Effie, Crystal, CB news, Art Director Club , Cannes Lions ) for best use of music , best sound design , best sync, best original music .

In addition to his advertising work B. Dunaigre participated in the development of the first french live concert streaming web site ( grandcrew.com) as marketing and development director, producing the filming and live streaming of more than 800 live shows by internationally acclaimed acts performing in the most popular french venues and music festivals .

Riyadh Drebika (NED)

Sizzer Amsterdam 

Born in the back seat of a Cadillac with a drum machine in one hand and an abacus in the other, Riyadh grew his bones strong on a steady diet of algebra, granular synthesis and Gang Starr. After being a producer with Singing Serpent (CA/NY) he went over to Warner/Chappell PM as their Director of Licensing fo TV, Film and Advertising (NY). Riyadh broke free of North America by way of recruitment to Amsterdam, taking on the Senior Music Producer position with Sizzer. 

Marcel Wiebenga (NED)

Since 2008 Marcel Wiebenga has worked at Sizzer Amsterdam. He supervises music for Hyundai, Diesel and Martini campaigns amongst others. He loves boxing and is a member of the local boxing club BAM in Amsterdam.

Didier Lord (FRA)

For over 15 years, Didier Lord has refined his skills in music production, interactive audio, management, strategy, and music business. His career has taken him all over the world, and his passion for technology, games, and the performing arts has helped him to lead and advocate for advancement in the interactive entertainment industry. In 1994 he joined video game publisher Ubisoft, who has since became a world leader in that industry. He was in charge of the artistic direction of music and sounds of all the products and founded internal studios in Paris and Montreal. 

Didier has honored a lot of videogames, and founded Ubisoft Music - a company in the Ubisoft Group managing all music for games - to converge his love of music and interactive entertainment. He has worked with an impressive array of “AAA-list” games like Rayman, Rainbow 6, Ghost Recon, Myst, Splinter Cell, Prince of Persia, Assassins Creed, Watch Dogs, Just Dance, Michael Jackson.. and big artists like Peter Gabriel, Korn, The Pixies, Lalo Shifrin,  Amon Tobin,  Air…

Nora Felder (USA)
President

Nora Felder, president of Picture Music Company, is a widely recognized and well-respected creative talent in today’s music industry. On the television front, Nora Felder has been working as the music supervisor on the highly successful original Showtime series “Californication” since its inception, which has gone on to receive critical acclaims musically each year. Nora has also produced 6 Californication Soundtracks for the show. In 2011 she added USA Network™’ Series, “Necessary Roughness” to her credits, and has recently finished its 3rd season. Currently she’s been working on the 2nd Season of CBS Series of “Unforgettable” as well as  NBC new series “The Night Shift” scheduled for 2014 mid season airing.

Zach Pollakoff (USA)

Pollakoff worked for indie giant, Beggars Group/Matador Records as a radio and video promoter. From Beggars, Pollakoff proudly founded Twosyllable Records, a finely curated collection of some of his favorite young artists. Later that year, while working on supervising a film–and founding his band, Eastern Midwestern–Pollakoff was introduced to the advertising industry. He spent a few years working at music and film production companies with some amazingly talented people before landing at Grey Group in 2010.

At Grey, Pollakoff has worked closely on Cannes-Lion-winning work for DirecTV, E*Trade and the NFL and has most recently won an Emmy for his work with Canon.
