Music x Media (entinen Musiikki & Media) koostuu Tampere-talossa pidettävistä seminaareista, puheenvuoroista, Lost in Music -klubifestivaalista ja Industry Awards -gaalasta. Music Finland on yksi Music x Median kumppaneista tuottaen tapahtuman puheohjelman kansainvälisen osuuden ja tuoden Tampereelle kansainvälisiä musiikkialan ammattilaisia.

Claire Freeman (Independent, Music Supervisor)
Claire is an independent music supervisor for film and TV. Originally starting out as film composer, she then spent two years in music management working with artists such as Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens), Lemon Jelly, and film composer Trevor Jones.
She made the move into music supervision in 2008, working on films such as ‘Me and Orson Welles’, ‘Wild Target’ and cult hit ‘The Disappearance of Alice Creed’. Later credits include Working Titles multi award winning Stephen Hawking biopic ‘The Theory of Everything’, Ricky Gervais ‘David Brent: Life on the Road’, BBC Films critically acclaimed ‘Testament of Youth’, ‘Temple’ for Sky, J Blakesons darkly comic drama ‘I Care A Lot’, Mammoth Screens Agatha Christie adaptations ‘Murder is Easy’ ,‘Why Didn’t They Ask Evans‘, ‘The Pale Horse’ & ‘The ABC Murders’, Severn Screen true crime ‘Steeltown Murders’, and Amazon series ‘Mammals’.
Recent and current projects include Ecosse films ‘The Great Escaper’ , ‘Signora Volpe’ for Acorn TV, Misfits Entertainment documentary ‘The Contestant’, House Productions horror feature ‘Starve Acre’, Mammoth Screens ‘Towards Zero’, Protagonist Pictures thriller feature ‘The Man in My Basement’ and Buffalo Pictures drama ‘Out There’ for ITV.
Claire was also nominated for Best Sync, TV series in the 2020 International Music and Sound Awards for ‘The Pale Horse’ and in the 2017 International Music and Sound Awards & Music Week Sync Awards for the haunting film noir ‘City of Tiny Lights’.

Anne Booty (Music Supervisor, SixtyFour Music)
Anne Booty has been in the music industry for over 20 years, with experience in both sides of the business. As an artist she has supported the likes of Tinie Tempah and Paloma Faith, and featured on albums with Nancy Sinatra and Scott Walker. Her music and voice can be heard on a number of commercials, TV shows and promos in the UK, US and Australia. In 2012, Anne spent three years in library music, setting up the UK Film department at Audio Network, before leaving to run Hummingbird Music, the internal catalogue at SixtyFour that focusses on syncing upcoming talent. In 2018 she moved into advertising and film music supervision. She has worked with leading agencies and brands including Aldi, Jaguar, Adidas, Nike, Lloyds and Barclays. On the film side, she score supervised ‘Poor Things’ and music supervised Lanthimos’ most recent feature, ‘Kinds of Kindness’ among others.

Carmen Montañez-Callan (Music Supervisor)
Carmen has been specialising in music supervision for Film & Television since 2014, having enjoyed 20 years success in placing music to picture and picture to music across Film, TV, Advertising and Music Video. This hands-on background in Production and the Music Industry gives Carmen a full working knowledge and in-depth understanding of the processes of both industries and places her in a unique position as a highly sought after Music Supervisor.
Carmen is based in London and provides music and score supervision, commercial music searches, licensing, clearance, fee negotiation and consultancy services across Film and Television. She is a member of BAFTA and the UK & European Guild of Music Supervisors.
With a degree in Fine Art and an MA in Documentary Filmmaking, Carmen’s career in music and moving image began in Music Video as Head of Music at Academy Films, followed by Music Video Commissioner at Island Records. During this time, she worked with international artists such as Amy Winehouse, Paul Weller, Sugababes, Goldfrapp, and Ian Brown, along with multi-award-winning directors, including Jonathan Glazer and Lynne Ramsay.

Chris Graves (Executive Producer, Music Production and Licensing, Craft Studios)
Chris has 25 years experience working in the music, broadcast and advertising industries. He started out in the sync licensing divisions of Universal Music, Sony/ATV and BMG placing music in campaigns for the likes of Ford, Nike, Heineken and Sony. Chris then joined entertainment-marketing agency FRUKT as the talent and rights expert working on music projects for brands such as Coca-Cola, O2, AB InBev and Footlocker. In 2018 Chris teamed up with Craft, a division of McCann Erickson Advertising to create Craft Music and has established a composer roster commissioning bespoke composition and recordings as well as continuing to provide music supervision and licensing services.

James Cooper (Music Supervisor, Rocket Science MusicFounder & Director)
James Cooper is Founder & Director of Rocket Science Music, which is a music supervision and creative services agency based in London. A senior music industry executive and former Head of Sync & Creative Licensing at Sony Music Publishing, James has been at the forefront of music publishing and synchronisation for over twenty years.
He has extensive experience working for both major and independent music and media companies including Sony, Locomotion Music Publishing, Wise Music, Grand Central Studios, Saatchi & Saatchi, Revolution Films and MTV.
James has brokered numerous high-profile sync deals including two John Lewis Christmas campaigns, and has collaborated with some of the industry’s most iconic songwriters, artists and catalogues including The Beatles, Motown, Queen, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, New Order, Beyonce, Oasis and Arctic Monkeys.

Stephanie Rushton (Music Supervisor, Seven Seas Music and the Rights Workshop)
Stephanie Rushton is a Canadian Music Supervisor and Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) based in Paris, France. Through her music supervision work at California-based Seven Seas Music, The Rights Workshop and for her independent film clients, Stephanie specializes in sourcing and licensing authentic international music for her projects. Her accounting work intersects with her music work as her trusted clients include record labels, film studios, artist collectives, Burning Man camps and individual musicians. She shares her expertise by volunteering with global organizations to educate musicians on music rights, publishing, and the basics of synchronization. Thierry Baujard (Perustaja, Media Deals, Ranska)
Thierry is managing Director of Pan European Investment Network Media Deals focusing on Creative Industries Investment especially Music, Audiovisual and Video Games. In the last 15 years, he has been involved in many investment and a few exits. Media Deals is consortium Partner of the Musictech Europe Academy which is a unique acceleration program for musicTech startups. In the past, Thierry has also been involved in investment in Music rights for film sector. He holds an MBA from Bocconi (Italy) and UCAL (USA).

Kabiru Bello (VP, Global A&R, Warner Recorded Music & Head of Asylum Records, Nordics)
Kabiru Bello, known widely in the music industry as Bello, is VP of Global A&R, Warner Recorded Music, and also heads up Asylum Records Nordics. He plays a pivotal role in driving Hip-Hop and R&B collaborations across the global Warner Recorded Music network. Bello is based in Stockholm and reports into Simon Robson, Warner Recorded Music’s President of International.
Bello has worked at Warner Music Group since 2017, when he joined the A&R team at Warner Music Sweden. In 2018, he launched Asylum in the Nordics, where he’s since signed 1.Cuz, A36, Aden & Jireel, Black Moose, Casper The Ghost, Cherrie, K27, Leslie Tay, and Ricky Rich.
Originally an artist, Bello moved over to the business side of the music industry. In 2008, he launched a 20/20 Records, a Stockholm-based music company, encompassing a record label, music publisher, and management division. In 2012, legendary producer Quincy Jones came onboard at 20/20 as a consulting partner and mentor to Bello.
