The internationally significant conference and showcase event Eurosonic will be held this week, from 19 to 22 January. Finnish acts Cyan Kicks, Tomi Saario and Suistamon Sähkö will perform at the event's online showcase festival on this Thursday and Friday!

Again this year, the physical ESNS event had to be replaced with an online version for the second year in a row, following a recent announcement by the Dutch government regarding the latest COVID-19 measures.

Eurosonic includes a conference event, a showcase festival and the Music Moves Europe Talent Awards, which awards internationally successful European artists. The winners of the 2019 awards included Lxandra, and in 2020 the Finnish band Beast in Black was nominated. Last year, among the winners of the award was Vildá.

Showcase schedule

The Finnish acts at this years ESNS showcase program are Cyan Kicks, a quartet that combines hard rock energy and big guitars with modern pop sensibility – and who are also running in the UMK competition to become this year's Finnish Eurovision representatives, mellow pop singer-songwriter Tomi Saario (about whom you can read more in our feature story) and outlandish ethno techno party starters Suistamon Sähkö (more about them here).
