Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra

This band of 102 top musicians gives 70–80 concerts at the Helsinki Music Centre a year to a total audience of over 100,000. It has toured widely in Europe, to the USA, South America, Japan and China.

The orchestra was founded by Robert Kajanus in 1882, and it is the oldest professional symphony orchestra alive in the Nordic countries. The current Chief Conductor is John Storgårds.
