This year’s Tampere Music Award goes to Daniel Lieberberg
The honoured Tampere Music Award will this year be awarded to Daniel Lieberberg, the President of Continental Europe and Africa at Sony Music Entertainment.
The Frankfurt/Main born music executive Daniel Lieberberg has worked widely with numerous local and international artists such as The Fugees, Weezer, Alanis Morissette, Faithless and Linkin Park, record labels such as Vertigo and Universal Music, as well as taking care of booking Germany’s biggest festivals Rock am Ring and Rock im Park. Lieberberg has also experience in working with Finnish bands such as Apocalyptica, Disco Ensemble and The Rasmus.
The Tampere Music Award is a special recognition award, presented in collaboration with the City of Tampere to honor a person, a business, an organization or an idea that has greatly influenced the music industry. The award will be handed out at the Industry Awards Gala on Friday 4th October.

Daniel Lieberberg will also be joining Music & Media for an in-depth interview on Friday 4th October. In the interview, conducted by Music Finland’s Kaisa Rönkkö, Lieberberg will discuss his career as a booker and talent buyer, Germany’s leading concert promoter as well as label representative and publisher, among others.
