Angelika Klas & Tanguedia Quintet, one of the top names of Finnish Tango Nuevo, will release their debut album and tour in Finland and France in October. Tanguedia Quintet aims to take Finnish tango from dance halls to concert stages, and they have commissioned arrangements and original works from several Finnish composers, including Timo Alakotila, Kari Ikonen, Kirmo Lintinen and Jukka Linkola. The visuals of the performance are created together with fashion designer Jukka Rintala and ballet dancer Minna Tervamäki who also dances in some performances in Finland. The ensemble will perform at the Festival Paris Banlieues Tango on 20 October.

Matthew Whittall's orchestral work Solen (HØSTSOLEN) will get altogether 15 performances as part of a dance work at Theater Ulm in Germany in 2012-2013. The premiere will take place on 22 November, with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Ulm and conductor Nils Schweckendiek.

Timo-Juhani Kyllönen's family opera Érase que era una niña (Op. 85) was premiered at Teatro Britannico in Lima, Peru, on 6 October. The opera will get altogether nine performances in Peru, and later it will be also seen in Finland.

In Finland the Finnish National Ballet will premiere a new work on H. C. Andersen's story, The Snow Queen on 23 November. The choreography is by Kenneth Greve, and the music has been composed by Tuomas Kantelinen.
