Annually presented Phonofile Nordic Music Prize is an award celebrating the album as an artistic format, and championing the diversity and innovation of today’s Nordic music scene. The prize will be awarded at showcase festival and conference by:Larm on March 2 in Oslo.

The winning album is chosen by a Nordic jury of experts from a 12 album shortlist consisting of the previous year’s releases.

This year’s Finnish nominees are Oranssi Pazuzu’s album Värähtelijä, Mikko Joensuu’s Amen 2 and The Hearing’s Adrian. 

In 2015 the prize was awarded to Mirel Wagner’s When the Cellar Children See The Light of Day, making her the first Finnish artist to win the prize. Previous winners include Jónsi, The Knife, First Aid Kit and most recently Band of Gold.
