Nordic music companies and songwriters introduced to the Los Angeles music industry
Nordic Music Trade Mission introduced 26 Nordic music companies and 11 Nordic songwriters to the Los Angeles music market in April 23-27, 2018.
The Trade Mission is an annual joint effort of Nomex, the network of Nordic music export offices: Export Music Sweden, Iceland Music, Music Export Denmark, Music Finland and Music Norway.
The program introduced the delegation to the US industry with conversations about music licensing, tv, film and trailer music supervision, publishing and A&R, three networking events and five company visits. The Guild of Music Supervisors hosted one day of content about music supervision, visit to Fox Music and TV, as well as a networking evening with their members and the Nordic delegation. The Consulate General of Finland in Los Angeles hosted the Nordic Music Trade Mission kick-off reception with more than 130 guests from Los Angeles coming to meet the Nordic delegation. The generous companies that invited the group for an office visit this year were Kobalt & AWAL, Fox Music, Notting Hill Publishing, Angry Mob and Hit The Ground Running Music Supervision and Pusher Music.
