Ja Ja Ja and the Nordic Playlist merge – new online platform celebrates Nordic music

Two online music resources – Ja Ja Ja and the Nordic Playlist – have merged into one definitive website and discovery platform for Nordic music.

An initiative from all five Nordic countries, jajajamusic.com will continue to introduce the most interesting new Nordic music, and will additionally feature themed and artist-curated playlists from the Nordic Playlist.

Since 2009, Ja Ja Ja’s club nights and live events have been bringing the best new Nordic music to London on a monthly basis, expanding to Berlin in 2014. Regular annual events are also organized in Vienna and Tokyo. Information about each show is found on the daily updated Ja Ja Ja website, which also offers the latest news, premieres and insights into up and coming music from the Nordic region.

The Ja Ja Ja website will also play host to the Nordic Playlist moving forward, presenting more than 150 playlists curated by some of the most influential musicians and tastemakers from the Nordic countries and beyond. Over 100 artists have taken the reigns since the Nordic Playlist’s launch in January 2014, including , Of Monsters & Men, Aurora, Jaakko Eino Kalevi and First Aid Kit who have each picked their favourite songs from each Nordic country, compiling them to create their very own Nordic Playlist. The Nordic Playlist is available on Spotify and Apple Music.

Ja Ja Ja, the Nordic Playlist and jajajamusic.com are run and organized by the Nordic music export network NOMEX. The member organisations of NOMEX are Export Music Sweden, Iceland Music Export, Music Export Denmark, Music Finland and Music Norway.
