International co-write camp Song Castle returns
For the first live edition since 2019, Music Finland’s longest running international co-write camp Song Castle returns to Kallio-Kuninkala in Järvenpää. Song Castle is one of the most respected song camps in the whole Nordic region.
Song Castle 2022 is organized from October 31st to November 4th in the serene countryside surroundings of Järvenpää, rich with cultural history, healthy local food and clean air.
Since 2007 Song Castle has had an influential role in boosting the local co-writing culture and developing Finnish songwriters to create international success stories. The resulting songs have hit the charts in the United States, Australia, South Korea, Japan, France, Sweden and Germany. Song Castle has been a pivotal platform to help build the careers of top Finnish songwriters and producers like Teemu Brunila, Hank Solo, Jurek and Alma Miettinen.
In the past few editions Song Castle has hosted artists like FLETCHER, Phoebe Ryan, Raja Kumari, and songwriters including Amy Allen, Nova Wav, Marty James, Melanie Fontana, Caroline Ailin, and many, many more. Songs written at the camp have been cut by Matoma, Phoebe Ryan, Hannah Jane Lewis, Cassio Monroe, Pentatonix etc.
The camp has 3,5 writing days. Songs are written directly with artists as well as for artist leads. The participants, artists, songwriters and their business representatives are invited from the UK, Nordics, Central Europe and United States this year.
For international participants Song Castle is an invitation only event. Finnish songwriters are chosen through an open application process.
Please be in touch with Katariina Sorsa about your invitation.
