Finnish Visit in Moscow
This year's edition of the Russian "Moscow Autumn" festival (30 October – 31 November) will include a special programme of Finnish music. The section titled "Finnish Visit" (18 November) includes works by Pasi Lyytikäinen, Jukka Tiensuu, Perttu Haapanen and Kaija Saariaho.
Lyytikäinen is prominently featured with works Come (2004) and Vuo (2005), as well as a world premiere of Kamarivokaliisi (Chamber Vocalise), a new work dedicated to the freedom of speech. The Chamber Vocalise is written for soprano and chamber orchestra, and it will be performed by the young Finnish musicians of Ajassa! ensemble. After the Moscow Autumn Lyytikäinen and his works will continue to a tour in Nizhny Novgorod and Siberia with Russian GamEnsemble.
