Celebrate International Jazz Day with our Finnish jazz playlist

April 30th is all about that jazz, as we celebrate International Jazz Day! Elevate the day with our New Jazz Music from Finland playlist, featuring the best artists and newest sounds from the local jazz scene.

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has officially designated April 30 as International Jazz Day in order to highlight jazz and its diplomatic role of uniting people in all corners of the globe. International Jazz Day is chaired and led by UNESCO Director General Audrey Azoulay and legendary jazz pianist and composer Herbie Hancock, who serves as a UNESCO Ambassador for Intercultural Dialogue and Chairman of the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz

Each year on April 30, jazz is recognized for promoting peace, dialogue among cultures, diversity, and respect for human rights and human dignity; eradicating discrimination; fostering gender equality; and promoting freedom of expression. International Jazz Day is the culmination of Jazz Appreciation Month, which draws public attention to jazz and its extraordinary heritage throughout April.

So step on board as we guide you to what's new and noteworthy in Finnish jazz – the playlist, consisting circa 30 artists and tracks at each time, is updated regularly and available on both Apple Music and Spotify!
