Afro Nordic Summit Helsinki raises awareness of the African music market
New music business summit Afro Nordic Summit will be held for the first time in Helsinki on September 27th, 2024 at Hobo Hotel Helsinki. The event, organized by Marmori Entertainment, focuses on raising awareness about growing the African music market and the music business. It is specifically designed for music industry professionals, artists, and creative individuals, fostering awareness and collaboration in this dynamic sector.
The goal of the summit is to bridge the gap about the African music market and showcase the African diaspora in Finland to both local and international audiences.
The mission of the event is to unite music, culture, and dialogue in a safe, expert gathering based on a value-driven approach. Community engagement is central, aiming to leave visitors with the understanding that the vast African economy is large, growing, and within reach.
The program includes panel discussions, roundtable discussions, showcase performances by artists and international DJ’s.
The event was inspired by AFRONORDIC founded by Stephanie Owusu. Her African music industry and culture event was produced in collaboration with Music Norway in the fall of 2023.
