Insomnium will headline Shadows of the Dying Sun Over Europe 2014 tour, which starts in October. The supporting acts are Finnish progressive thrash metal act Stam1na and Italian death metal band FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE. The tour will cover 18 shows in 9 countries.

Early next year Insomnium continues the Shadows of the Dying Sun tour in North America with Swedish melodic death metal group Dark Tranquillity.

Insomnium’s sixth album Shadows Of The Dying Sun was released on April 28 in Europe and on April 29 in North America via Century Media Records. The album went to #18 on the German album chart and at #5 at US Billboard's Heatseekers chart on the first week of release. 

Stam1na recently released their sixth album, titled SLK. The band, whose shows and albums are extremely popular in Finland, played at Loud & Metal Attack showcase in Tokyo last May.
