Alamaailman Vasarat release their latest album in Japan, play special events

The latest release by Alamaailman Vasarat, titled Valta was released in Japan by King Records last week, and in April the sextet will play shows and host special events in Tokyo. 

Starting on Friday 5th of April there will be a special Alamaailman Vasarat Cafe with photo exhibition of the band, a Finnish cooking class and Scandinavian merchandise for sale. The band will also play an acoustic set on a river boat.  On 6th and 7th of April Alamaailman Vasarat will play concerts at Asahi Art Square. 

Alamaailman Vasarat creates music with traces of tango, klezmer, jazz, psychobilly, cabaret, new age, progressive avant-garde and the heaviest of heavy metal. The band's tools of trade include various saxes and clarinets, trombone, tuba, two cellos, pump organ, grand piano and drums.
